Abstract

The empowerment program for housewives through hydroponic training aims to optimize the utilization of limited land in RW 18 Karadenan, Bogor. Hydroponics is introduced as a modern agricultural solution that is efficient, environmentally friendly, and suitable for urban areas. This training covers the basics of hydroponics, hands-on practice in building simple hydroponic systems, and guidance on plant care and marketing of harvested produce. The program is designed to enhance technical skills, support household food security, and promote economic independence for families The program outcomes indicate that participants successfully improved their technical skills in hydroponic farming, produced healthy vegetables, and marketed their harvest effectively. Approximately 85% of participants implemented hydroponic systems at home, achieving an average income increase of 15-20%. Beyond economic benefits, the program also heightened awareness of the importance of healthy vegetable consumption and the use of household waste as planting media. This program is expected to serve as a replicable community empowerment model for other regions.
